PreS—This large-format book opens with a note to parents. "Toddler Worldhas been conceived and designed to provide maximum enjoyment for inquisitive toddlers." It is divided into spreads with such popular themes as "My Pets," "My Visit to the Farm," and "My Party." Some spreads offer two separate activities, one on each page, while others offer a single, cohesive activity. The inconsistency can be confusing, but aside from this structural detail, the book is a great success. Interactive elements include flaps to lift and seek-and-find pictures. Done in Saunders's familiar style, the illustrations are bright and cheerful, and the text is large and clear. Small children will enjoy lifting the flaps and poring over the pictures on their own. Toddler World would be particularly strong as a read-aloud and talk-about either with a group or one-on-one.—Amelia Jenkins, Juneau Public Library, AK
