Vice president Joe Biden officially accepted the Democratic party's nomination for president in the school library at Brandywine High School in Wilmington, DE. Biden's wife, Jill, used to teach at the school and gave a speech from a classroom later in the evening.

The ongoing pandemic, of course, forced the convention to be virtual. With no stage to take, options were wide open for where the former vice president could officially accept the nomination after the roll call. The Bidens' choice wasn't lost on those watching from home.

"Is @JoeBiden the first presidential nominee to accept the nomination in a #schoollibrary?" asked school librarian David Robbins.

Julie Blattberg, a publishing and media consultant, wrote, "Dr. Jill Biden and Joe in a #library? Sweeet! #DemConvention"

And Washington, DC, school librarian K.C. Boyd expressed a little hope that the setting might be a sign of future policy support.

"@JoeBiden accepted the Democratic nomination in a library," she tweeted. "Good sign for U.S. libraries/librarians? #dcpsneedslibrarians #tlchat #forevertheoptimist."
