The debut author of The Poet X (Harper) has already garnered multiple awards, winning the 2018 Boston Globe–Horn Book Award for Fiction and being named a finalist for both the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature and the Kirkus Prize. Elizabeth Acevedo kicked off our seventh annual SLJTeen Live! virtual conference on August 15.
