Our charts show the diversity of recent MLS grads vs. the general population.
How diverse is librarianship? The field has a ways to go in order to mirror the makeup of the U.S. population. These pie charts compare general population stats from the U. S. Census Bureau to the diversity of 2012 MLS graduates, drawn from a 2013 Library Journal survey. Are We Diverse yet? (chart)
