Ann M. Martin's classic series "The Baby-Sitters Club" continues to be adapted to graphic novel format. The 12th and latest title in the series to receive the treatment by Scholastic's Graphix imprint is Jessi's Secret Language, adapted and illustrated by Eisner-nominated artist Chan Chau.

In the book, BSC junior officer Jessi Ramsey begins babysitting Matt Braddock, who is Deaf. He uses sign language, and Jessi learns it as well. A talented ballerina, Jessi is also preparing for an upcoming recital and working on a special surprise for Matt.
