Gr 1-3–Claudia loves living in Unicornia, a place where magic exists and where unicorns are real. When a group of baby unicorns are born at the unicorn refuge, the friends discover the beautiful black unicorn Nero. But people in Unicornia hesitate to adopt Nero, believing he is bad luck. Claudia, Paula, and Sara make it their magical mission to find Nero the perfect home. They teach Nero to fly, give him a bath with special shampoo, and take him to the center of the city so others can see how special he is. Although things don’t go as they plan, the girls and Nero find an unexpected surprise and a happy ending.
