Stump, Red, Ziggy, and Noodle are all friends that laugh and learn through their various misadventures and comical misunderstandings. Noodle loves to paint and thinks they can use the blue of the sky to color, while Ziggy and Stump enjoy exploring and amusingly mistake an ant hill for a volcano. Twig Friends offers another read-alike choice when popular series like “Pizza and Taco” or “Jelly and Narwhal” are unavailable. Illustrations are solid, and the cartoon style works well against the silly tone of the piece, while the full colors will capture any reader’s attention.
VERDICT A decent addition, perfect for fans of the “Pizza and Taco” series or where the “Real Pigeons” series circulates well.
