K-Gr 2–The “Peanuts” friends are back. They are having fun at the fair when Snoopy remembers he has to visit the vet that same day. He decides to escape and gets into mischief at the fair. Charlie and his sister Sally, along with their friends, go through the fair trying to wrangle Snoopy into making his appointment. Sometimes, going to the doctor is scary for children, but in this fun beginning reader book, they will learn a valuable lesson: as soon as you know it, scary situations are over and it’s back to fun! There are many laughs along the way, with a great focus on vocabulary for elementary students.
VERDICT Another great addition to the “Peanuts” book series for young readers, especially if educators and parents want to introduce them to Charles Schulz and his classic characters.
