PreS-Gr 2—A duck waddles up to a lemonade stand. He approaches the man behind the counter and ironically requests grapes. The duck is told that the stand only sells lemonade. This happens on several consecutive days until the lemonade stand owner loses his temper and threatens to glue the creature to a tree. The persistent duck returns with a punch line that may incite giggles. If this plot sounds familiar, it might be due to its popularity on YouTube, where it exists as a children's song of the same title. The song can be heard by pushing a button on the book's cover. As it plays, readers follow along and view the digitally rendered illustrations. It also comes with a CD containing 12 tunes. A supplemental choice.—Laura Butler, Mount Laurel Library, NJ
