Digital illustrations capture the energy and movement of city dwellers and the hectic pace of life, while rhyming text that emphasizes alliteration makes for a fun-filled read-aloud. Children will enjoy the many details hiding in the art, which highlights diversity, work, play, and the value of community.
VERDICT Children will reach for this book again and again. Recommended, particularly for the emerging reader shelves.
