He is very pleased with his sales and even eats one to celebrate. But now there is only one apple left, and his final customers, Ducking and Bushbaby, fight over it, spilling Red Panda's coin jar. Everyone feels bad until Red Panda remembers he has another treat. "Sneaky Red Panda! He has kept another candy apple aside for himself," so all of the animals are happy. "Lick. Crackle. Crunch." Animals eagerly buy Red Panda's candy apples (though it's hard for him to let the treats go). When only one is left and both Duckling and Bushbaby want it, Red Panda offers the extra one he set aside for himself. Sweet little faces messy with red candy residue and the theme of reluctant sharing lend appeal and tension to an otherwise tame tale.
