The author of three other research guides, Stanley turns her attention to digital research skills. Her experience is evident from the practical lessons and skills covered in each chapter. The first section of the book discusses how students, classroom teachers, and librarians should prepare for research. Next, Stanley lays out the steps of the research process, offering many useful charts and organizers, including ones for Creative Commons licenses and note taking. Finally, she explores how to apply research. The author stresses the importance of laying a foundation by teaching students how to access print materials. Scattered throughout are Hyperdocs for students and teachers as well as scripted conversations between students and the librarian.
