On the Job (PAW Patrol: Rubble & Crew)

PreS-K–On a construction site, readers are introduced to each of the puppies in the PAW Patrol: Rubble & Crew TV series and given a description of the various tasks they each contribute to a job. Rubble drives the bulldozer and leads the entire crew. Instruction is given to the puppies so they know how to perform each job that needs to be completed. They all work together to build something great and to keep Builder Cove clean and safe. Since each puppy has a role to play in the building process, it gives them a sense of purpose, which is an empowering message to young readers. The digital art is bright and detailed; illustrations match the text on each page, giving individuals learning to read the opportunity to match the words they see to the picture. New readers will not be overwhelmed by the text: there is approximately one sentence per page, and this helps readers focus on one line at a time.
