But once the weather clears, the pair are able to get back to their favorite activity of sending skateboard-bound Sandwich airborne in perilous stunts. He makes it through the first two unscathed, but the third one brings Sandwich uncomfortably close to soggy destruction. The banter between hype man Marco and hesitant Sandwich is giggle-inducing, and the artwork has an aesthetic that will feel familiar to fans of Cartoon Network programming. This is the second book in the “Lunch Buddies” series, which will appeal to fans of “Narwhal and Jelly,” “Pizza and Taco,” and “Bird & Squirrel.”
VERDICT This one will certainly find traction amongst young readers familiar with other light-hearted comic duo series. A recommended purchase for most library graphic novel collections.
