Judy Moody: In a Monday Mood

Gr 1-3–Judy has the Monday “blahs,” but her teacher Mr. Todd transforms her mood when he introduces the class to Bubble Wrap Day. The breezy pacing and buoyant illustrations provide support to the beginning reader. The text features plenty of dialogue and short sentences. Supporting characters are friendly and appealing, and Judy and Stink’s sibling relationship adds to the positivity of the story. Judy and her brother are white.
