PreS-Gr 1-Bentley is a five-year-old rhino who just can't settle down. Everywhere he goes, his gusto for life wreaks havoc. He makes a mess when eating, cracks the ceiling running down stairs, and even scares his friends during game of chase at school. Bentley doesn't seem to be able to control his energy. However, surprisingly, when Bentley needs to be gentle with his baby sibling, he is. At the end of the story, Bentley's parents proudly look on as he cuddles the baby. The endpapers show Bentley and the baby enjoying all kinds of activities together. The illustrations are a soft combination of black lines and eye-appealing colors. Bentley's energy and enthusiasm are highlighted throughout the simple and enjoyable text.
