After Lug loses his temper at a zoo visitor, he quits the venture and heads to California to fight wildfires. When a mysterious arsonist turns out to be an unexpected foe with a fiery desire for vengeance, Lug and the rest of the Extincts must save the day once more. Strikingly rendered, this action-packed middle grade graphic novel blends a quest for purpose with a strong environmental message. Readers will also gain a crash course in smokejumpers and wildfires.
