El mundo de Violeta

Gr 5–7—Perxitaa is a Spanish YouTube personality known for his Internet trolling pranks and videos narrating his video game play, particularly with Minecraft. In this novel, he and his friend Violeta go on trolling adventures in the world of video games. After a "meta" introduction, in which Perxitaa provides a one-page "novel" that spoils the ending of The Sixth Sense, followed by pictures of his cats, the story begins. Violeta travels with a mascot who happens to be a pink pig. These companions find their way inside a game of Minecraft, where they encounter a zombie who, in "Choose Your Own Adventure" fashion, eats Perxitaa. Of course, this is one of Perxitaa's jokes. This is clearly more of a form of merchandizing for Perxitaa's YouTube channel than it is literature. There are plenty of authorial asides, where Perixtaa addresses readers directly, telling them how to read certain passages aloud or posing questions such as, "Are you enjoying this book?"
