Gr 9 Up—In this sequel to Traveler, Jessa has a problem on her hands. She must stop the convergence of all of the worlds from happening, but doesn't know when it will begin, or how her enemies are going to come after her. She is still grieving over the loss of Finn, but he somehow always finds a way back. This time it's Finn in the form of a pirate she's met before. When her enemies are defeated, it still causes a ripple effect no one sees coming. Jessa has to come up with a solution or risk losing her other selves and her new Finn. DeLano has done it again. Her masterful blending of parallel worlds takes a complex idea of quantum physics and makes it easy to follow, while also creating a gripping sci-fi novel that will have readers on the edge of their seats. The cast of characters is diverse and each protagonist is fully developed. The different Jessas have distinct qualities and characteristics even though they all look the same. DeLano has spun a fun, genre-bending series that includes love, coming-of-age, and relatable protagonists who will resonate with teens.
