"Mile by mile, pigs motor west. / Brick by brick, pigs build a house... / and piece by piece, it becomes a home." In this quiet book, the gently exultant narration recalls the lyrics to a folk song; the illustrations of country-dwelling pigs in denim dancing with their neighbors and taking a communal mud bath don't fight that comparison.
