Most of the recipes are basic, and adaptations are suggested for holidays and extra decorative cookies; holiday cookie templates are mostly add-on options. The collection includes additional simple baked items, such as no-bake energy bites, Apple Brown Betty, and banana bread. A few gluten-free options are also available. A beginning baker would almost certainly find success with the clear, concise instructions and simple recipes. With a mention of Santa in the title, this book is best-suited for collections where books about Christmas are popular or wanted.
VERDICT With an impressive array of options on brightly colored pages, this is as good a recipe collection as one is likely to find.
