PreS-K—Anthropomorphic trains use their maintenance and repair skills to solve problems in this six-episode collection. The animation is rather sophisticated. Especially impressive are episodes with underwater scenes and those in which sprayed water "hits" the camera lens. Story lines are simple, encouraging cooperation and resourcefulness. This is a very busy animated series with several different trains and a few humans who interact with them. Vocal talent is sharp, with a variety of styles and accents making the characters easily distinguishable.
VERDICT A safe bet for very young train enthusiasts and kids interested in large machinery, such as cranes and fire trucks.
