Gr 1–3—Two to three sentences per page provide basic facts without too much detail, making the text suitable for early elementary readers. Most titles emphasize one broad area, such as Tyrannosaurus rex's hunting process or the unusual body parts of Brachiosaurus. Key data, including size, era, and eating habits, are usually included within the text. Visual content includes drawings, diagrams, and photographs in layouts with plenty of white space. The match between visuals and text is not always ideal. For example, references to the tail of an Allosaurus and the teeth of Triceratops are not well supported in the illustrations. Each book includes a few QR codes that lead to short videos, simple activities, or more information. This extra content is mostly skippable; it can also be accessed through a website.
VERDICT Solid but unexceptional additions to dinosaur collections.
