PreS—Grandmother, Mom and Dad, three children, one dog, one cat, and a fish are all ready for dinner. The illustrations and the rhyme work well together to show this loving family. "Baby wants Mama. Cat wants fish. Daddy wants supper. Pup wants dish." The joyful illustrations are done in watercolor, colored pencils, and digital medium. Each character has personality, and the home is simply depicted. Many scenes have no background but an occasional piece of furniture appears when needed. There's not much plot here, but the antics involved in a family finally sitting around the table should be shared.
