Baby-Toddler–A “My Little Book of Sounds” features 6 sounds with an on/off switch on the back cover. This title covers many of the sounds a baby makes, from giggles to yawns. Short, rhyming verse captures an activity and the sound produced. Young children are able to press on a circle on the page to hear the sound and adults who are sharing the reading experience are encouraged through prompts on each spread to engage with their young child. These activities include dancing, repeating sounds, and massage for a sneezy baby nose.
VERDICT Multiple avenues for enjoying the sounds young children make in books and in real life. Recommended.
