Presented by: Scholastic and School Library Journal
Event Date and Time: Tuesday, November 13, 2018
We invite you to join this series on how to create passionate, lifelong readers and writers through meaningful connection to literature.
Session 1:
In this session, Pam Allyn will share best practices to ensure that every child reads passionately, powerfully, and proficiently. She believes that when we build on a child’s strengths and immerse them in an environment with rich, authentic literature to read and write, that we create strong, confident, lifelong readers. These “super readers and writers” will consume texts with passion, understanding, and a critical eye.
Join this webinar to hear Pam discuss new ideas about the synergy of reading and writing instruction, how we can measure the impact of writing on our children as learners, and how to use literature and the knowledge of teaching of writing to move our children forward.
