Presented by: Thorndike Press and School Library Journal
Event Date: Tuesday, October 29, 2024
As student reading levels continue to lag nationwide, we seek new ways to drive reading engagement and champion literacy. To test the efficacy of large print on classroom reading experiences, 1,500 students and 50+ educators in 13 schools across the country participated in a Project Tomorrow study during the 2023-2024 school year. Join this webinar to hear firsthand about the experiences of participating school librarians and insights from the Project Tomorrow research team. We’ll share new data and uncover outcomes such as increased engagement and confidence, improved reading comfort, enhanced comprehension, and student preference.
Presenters:
Dr. Julie Evans, Ed.D., Chief Executive Officer, Project Tomorrow
K.C. Boyd, Library Media Specialist, Washington D.C. Public Schools
Tasha Squires, School Librarian, O'Neill Middle School in Downers Grove, IL
