Little eyes love big pictures! Join this webcast as publishing insiders discuss an assorted collection of titles to help your young readers explore life lessons, educational concepts and giggle-worthy humor.

You’ll hear about a variety of new and upcoming beautifully-illustrated fall picture books, touching on biographies and spooky tea parties to understanding the value of patience and friendship.

  • Mr. Pumpkin’s Tea Party: A delightful counting book with stunning watercolor illustrations, spooky characters, and a surprisingly charming tea party. A perfect picture book for when there is a crisp chill in the air. (A Fall 2019 Kids’ Indie Next List Pick)

  • Bruno Has One Hundred Friends: Bruno is very happy when he finds a mobile phone. Suddenly, he has many friends, all over the world! But he spends so much time with his “magic box,” he forgets all about Renzo & Rico. A story about what makes a real friendship.

  • Hans Christian Andersen: The Journey of His Life by Heinz Janisch and Maja Kastelic. A beautifully illustrated, imaginative picture book biography of Hans Christian Andersen.

  • In Grow, Candace, Grow, little Candace convinces her teacher that her class should plant a garden to celebrate spring. When the work is complete, Candace is “underwhelmed” by the puny plantings and wants to know when the flowers are going to bloom. “It takes a little patience,” her teacher explains, but Candace is not particularly fond of waiting.

  • The Orange Horse, written and illustrated by Hsu-Kung Liu.
An orange horse is desperate to find his long-lost brother, but the only clue he has is one half of an old photo. Then, one day, the orange horse meets a brown horse and they immediately become good friends. Could he be the long-lost brother the orange horse has been searching for?
