Picture Day Jitters

Gr 1-4–Picture day is always exciting and that’s very true for Mrs. Hartwell’s elementary students. She reminds them the day before to look their best for their school pictures. The problem is that their pictures are scheduled for the end of the day, and staying picture perfect the entire day is a true challenge for them all. Danneberg writes a delightful story of a teacher’s love and affection for her students as she does her very best to engage them in learning without completely ruining their picture-perfect status. It seems that everything that could go wrong does, but Mrs. Hartwell is prepared and ready to fix any issues her students may have. Love captures the essence of a teacher and her students struggling through what turns out to be a long and frustrating day, but one that ends perfectly.
